Family, friends, and fans expecting Bobby Shmurda’s return home will have to wait a little longer. The Brooklyn rapper will remain in jail after a bail application was withdrawn on Wednesday.

The New York Times reports that Shmurda’s $2 million bail package had been withdrawn for unknown reasons. “It’s our understanding that the suretor has withdrawn and that no hearing is currently scheduled,” said office spokeswoman Kati Cornell.
Shmurda’s lawyer Kenneth Montgomery also confirmed the delay. “We’re trying to do a new bond application and are in the process in the figuring that out,” said Montgomery. “We’re hoping to get it done within the next week.”
In custody since mid-December, Bobby Shmurda, whose real name is Ackquille Pollard, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of conspiracy and weapons possession following a sting operation on his GS9 crew last year.
Last week, the “Hot Ni**a” rapper got “celebrity bail bondsman” Ira Judelson to cover his $2 million bail. At the time, Shmurda’s attorney Kenneth J. Montgomery confirmed the bail was paid and still pending due to the government doing a background check to make sure the posted funds were legal.
