We’re betting that Big Boi is feeling some type of way after not being able to perform at the Super Bowl. Apparently, Outkast was asked to do the halftime show, but Andre 3000 wasn’t feeling the demands being thrown on the table.
During an interview with ESPN’s The Dan LeBatard Show, Big Boi revealed that his dreams of performing during the Super Bowl were crushed by Andre 3000’s reputation for creative control.
Big Boi would claim that when they were approached to perform their songs live at the big game, the two songs they wished to perform had to be cut for time. This idea didn’t sit well with Andre 3000. The famous rap duo declined to play the halftime show, but looking back, you can bet that Big Boi must be feeling salty about the situation.
Why would you turn down something as big as the Super Bowl? Outkast has been on a long hiatus for a while now. They perform live every so often, but new music seems like a myth at this point.
