Three Men Arrested In Uptown Charlotte Shooting . Three men were arrested following a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning on Caldwell Street between Third and Fourth Street in uptown Charlotte. Police say at least 40 shots were fired into a van and SUV parked on the curb and the front lobby of the Hyatt hotel. A woman and her friend were in the SUV when a bullet shattered the rear window and hit the hood of the vehicle, according to WCNC. Howard Wright, Demetrius
Thompson and Dereke Bolton were taken into custody shortly after. All three suspects are charged with three counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling and discharging a firearm in city limits. Thompson and Wright were said to have also been charged with carrying a concealed weapon. The suspects and the victims are reportedly in town for the Ciaa tournament, but police don’t know yet if there is any connection or the motive for the shooting. WCNC reported that there were no injuries.
